These patches contain a miniature TDP plate embedded in each patch to generate far infrared heat that penetrates deep under the skin, warming the muscle right where it hurts – to relax, soothe and unlock tight muscles. When heat is applied to your skin, the sensation of pain is reduced. Heat stimulates thermo receptors, which block your body’s pain transmitters from sending pain signals to your brain. Heat increases circulation to the injured or sore area, which means more oxygen and nutrients are sent to the damaged tissue.   • How does the heat control patch work?

    The control patch works to block air from flowing into the materials inside the patch. The TDP patch is air activated meaning heat is created only when it reacts to air.

  • Is there latex in the patch?

    There is small amount of latex on the adhesive side of the patch. We recommend testing the patient skin for allergic reactions before applying the patch.

  • What's the expiration date on these patches?

    The expiration date is Feb 2021 as of today, Sept 2019.

  • What happens if I only use it for 2 hours, can I save the patch for later?

    Use the heat control pad and place it on the top of the TDP patch to reduce the amount of heat. Although you cannot "switch off" the TDP patch, this will prolong its lifetime for a few hours.

  • Are there any preservatives in this patch?

    There are no preservatives in this patch. The main ingredient is moxa that is heated up through oxygen activation with iron and other minerals.
